Cine con Cultura Latinx American Film Festival 2026 in Ithaca, NY
12 years of great Latinx/Latin American Cinema in Ithaca!
ABOUT US
Each fall during Latinx Heritage Month, Cultura Ithaca! and the Latino Civic Association of Tompkins County organize the Cine con Cultura Latinx American Film Festival in Ithaca, New York. 2026 marks 12 years celebrating the work of Latin American/Latinx filmmakers from all over this hemisphere, providing a glimpse into Latin America and the Latinx-US.
We are thrilled to continue collaborating with local organizations/institutions this year, including our longtime partners Cornell Cinema and Cinemapolis; World Languages, Literatures and Cultures, the LGBTQ Center, Screen Cultures, and the Latin American and Caribbean Studies program at Ithaca College; as well as Romance Studies, Latin American and Caribbean Studies and the Latina/o Studies Program at Cornell University and the Reproductive Rights Film Festival.
Festival screenings will take place from September 14th through October 21st, 2026. There will be a total of 13 films this year from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, México, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, and the Latinx-USA. We have included a selection of feature-length films, documentaries and short films and we'll host three filmmakers. All films are free of charge and open to the public.
